Data Deletion Request — NewsLearner

This page explains how users of the NewsLearner: Learn Languages mobile app (published by Can Ozal) can request deletion of their data.

How to request deletion

  1. Send an email to support@newslearner.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
  2. Send the request from the device where you used NewsLearner if possible, or describe the approximate date range when you used the app. Because NewsLearner uses anonymous accounts (no sign-up), this helps us locate the anonymous identifier associated with your installation.
  3. We will confirm your request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

Data type Action
Anonymous account identifier (Supabase) Deleted
Subscription records linked to your app user ID (RevenueCat) Deleted / unlinked
Analytics events (PostHog) Deleted on request
Saved words, learning progress, preferences (stored only on your device) Removed automatically when you uninstall the app

What may be retained

We may retain limited records where required by law — for example, financial records of subscription transactions (kept by Apple App Store / Google Play, not by us) and aggregated, non-identifiable analytics statistics. Any retained records cannot be linked back to you.
